5 and 2 Year Stats

Today we took Isabel and Zak in for their well child exams. I don't know why the idea of scheduling their appointments together never occurred to me before; rookie mistake, I guess. In any case, Isabel's percentiles are starting to more resemble her mother's, while Zak continues to steamroll the competition. The doctor actually asked if we thought the nurse was able to get an accurate weight because she was surprised at the pounds he's managed to pack on!

Isabel
  • Weight 37 lbs, 30th%
  • Height 41.5", 30th%

Zachary

  • 29 lbs 10 oz, 70%
  • 34.75", 65%

Barticle

In what is surely just the beginning of a disturbing trend, Isabel came home with a newfangled word that all the kids are saying but of which I've never heard. Apparently among Isabel's little friends at our local daycare, it is all the rage to say the word "barticle" when someone farts. As in, "Something smells. Who barticled?" Or if you're the perpetrator, you could simply announce "barticle" and everyone will take a few steps away from you. But it's not just for the kids; I'm sure it will catch on at the classiest of events... "Excuse me, Madame Secretary, I just barticled."
