But then he remembered he had a lollipop (his first ever!).
And he ended the appointment looking quite debonair.

Barber Shop
We've given Zak a few haircuts at home, but it was time to see a professional. Good thing, too; as the gal was checking out his hair she mentioned how it was "all different lengths". She started the haircut by using the clippers. Let's just say Zak was not a fan.

Mother's Day
First of all, I want to say thank you to our moms for all that they've done and continue
to do for us!
Mother's Day 2010 was a bit of a mixed bag. The positives: Isa and Zak made gifts at school which I just loved. Isabel made a sand art vase and Zak had a little container with his picture on it. Isabel also filled out a questionnaire about me (with her teacher's help) which made me laugh out loud. Kyle got me some lovely gifts and even went out to get donuts for us all. We managed to get out of the house and visit a park, and then Kyle and Isabel made dinner. And best of all, KYLE CLEANED EVERY SINGLE TOILET IN THE HOUSE.

The not-so-positives: Zachary is getting more teeth (molars, specifically) and he is very unhappy about the process. He's drooling like mad, grouchy, and woke up every hour the night before Mother's Day. And when the baby's not happy, ain't nobody happy. Still, in between the fits of rage and food tantrums where he threw spoons in my general direction, he had periods of happiness during which he was his normal cheerful self. At this point, the best Mother's Day gift of all will be a good night's sleep!
Update: turns out Zak's problem wasn't his teeth so much as the hand, foot, and mouth disease he caught. Give us another year or two, he'll have contracted every virus in the book!
